PRO-LIFE BASICS: Can we trust the latest abortion polls?

Good question. The polling data that I have seen tells me two things about the 62% of Americans who allegedly support the fallacious “women’s right to choose.”

The first is that they were not asked a question that begins with these words: Given the fact that every abortion ends the life of a human being . . . So frankly, as long as abortion is compared to other political issues, far too many people will never think beyond the question being asked.

The man or woman on the street won’t think such a question through because they have been brainwashed by a media committed to dehumanizing the preborn child and suggesting that the expectant mother is the only person involved in the decision to abort. The key word here is person; the baby is a person too, but not according to the culture.

And as we have learned over the past 50 years, the old saying “If it is legal, it must be good” still holds for more than half of those polled.

Therein lies the rub, and the second problem with such polls is chilling. One article reports that ten thousand people agreed to take part in opinion polls dealing with abortion, though according to population numbers in the United States today, there are roughly 65 million females in the US between the ages of 15 and 45.

If you walked through a mall and asked every woman you met whether or not she had been part of a survey about abortion, you are likely to not find a single one. But let’s say you did meet one. Can you imagine her shock once she realized that the poll was about justifying killing innocent people? Clearly that fact was not mentioned!

And since ten thousand random people could never represent 65 million females between the ages of 15 and 45, the polls are nothing but a charade. The truth is that every human being has a right to experience life, death, and emotions, not to mention faith.

Polls are not facts. Polls are designed not to seek actual views but to form the public opinions that serve the particular purpose for which they were designed. So dump the polls and get down to the fact: Abortion by any method results in the death of a person.
